It was a long distance love affair. I was in the USA and he was in Australia at the time.

We called each other every day.  But that night he didn’t call me. I went crazy and was certain he had met with an accident.

I called everyone I knew at 2 a.m. and begged them to find him! Since none of them had answers I started calling all the hospitals in the area.  

After nearly 6 hours of searching frantically, I had no news.  I sobbed endlessly. My thoughts were running wild.

After many many hours my phone rang and he was ALIVE! He had had to work late and his cell phone had run out of battery! It had never occurred to him that he needed to just let me know.

I ended up with a phone bill that I am too ashamed to disclose!
